A matching gift is a charitable donation by a corporation that matches an employee¡¯s donation to an eligible nonprofit organization. Thousands of companies offer matching gift programs to their employees as part of a corporate workplace giving programs.

Requesting a matching gift is normally a quick process which must be initiated by the donor. Use our matching gift search to find your company¡¯s specific instructions and information. If your company does not appear, this does not necessarily mean that the company does not offer matching gifts. If you believe a company that offers matching gifts is missing, please email matchinggifts@cancer.org to suggest the addition. If you are not sure if your company has a program, reach out to your HR Administrator.

The length of time it takes for your company to send a matching gift payment can vary. If your employer's matching gift program approves the donation match, your employer will send the match funds according to company guidelines. You may contact your employer directly to find out how often matching gift payments are sent to the nonprofit.

Matching gifts can be credited to your ´óÏótv event fundraising. Please be sure to include your event name and team name if applicable in the comment, designation, or note section of your matching gift request. If you choose to submit your match anonymously we may not be able to credit your fundraising. Regardless of designation, all matching gift funds support the American Cancer Society mission.
